Diamond Dozen Slots

Diamond Dozen slots is a game made to look slick and make you feel slick as you get lost in spin after spin hoping to win enough to buy some diamonds of your own. While it all is fairly standard fair for the genre, the play mechanics are just enticing enough to keep you interested, and the theme itself adds to the intentions as most players are clearly playing these games in hopes of retiring early with lots of look. Anyone interested in any of that should certainly give this game a try. While not great, it is pretty good, despite how mundane some of it is.

Premise

This game is all about dazzle and money. Diamond Dozen Slots is more of a theme than a premise here, everything being encrusted and enticing you with the idea that you too can afford these things if you play for long enough. Themes like this go well with gambling, and it does its job well enough, though it in no way is all that inventive. Thankfully, it at least does not get in the way.

Presentation

The graphics of Diamond Dozen Slots are middle of the road. While not bad, they are certainly not great, though if you are a fan of all things bling and enjoy that sort of thing, you will likely love everything you see while playing this game. It is all crisp, clear, and coherent, and has the upside of letting you know which things are worth more than others based on the number and style of diamonds you will find adorning them. It is in no way great, but it still looks alright. Though the backgrounds along the top are a little drab and do not hold up to the quality you will find elsewhere in the game.

Mechanics

A five reel slot, this is a game with some slight variations to the standard formula that keeps things interesting. For one, you can trigger Diamond Delight mode, which has White Diamond symbols appearing all over the place. Each is worth between 1 and 10, and they multiply by each other and then the bet that triggers them.

Outside of this, standard mechanics apply, including a nicely done autoplay feature, the ability to win 12 free games if you are lucky, prizes being double during these free games, and a nice progressive jackpot.

Bets here range from a cent to $5 for each line, putting this at the lower end of the pay scale when it comes to how much you have to ante up. On the bright side, that also means when you lose, you will not feel too put out, either, though in our experience, you actually do win fairly often, which is nice. There are up to 20 lines of play, and all must be played in sequence on top of that, which other games sometimes allow.

Likes

+ Theme is well chosen + Bonus mode is pretty nice + Progressive jackpots are always welcome

Dislikes

- Graphics are middle of the road - Does not stand out on too many fronts

Conclusion

Diamond Dozen Slots is a game that is easy to recommend, but not in a glowing way. It does everything it sets out to well enough, and never manages to make you feel like any of it is all that cheap. Despite that, at the same time, it does not stand out too much. Because of this, will recommend playing this game largely for the payout potential, and for those into bling. If either of those sound enticing, you can easily see yourself playing Diamond Dozen Slots for game after game for some time, and we recommend it for that reason.
